I graduated with a diploma in Public Relations at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT).
I guess I can say I'm a Public Relations Practitioner? Feels strange.
Looking back at graduation and thinking.
"WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?"
"Were you not a first year just now the other day?"
I remember my first year and my first day like it was yesterday. Walking around campus feeling intimidated and stupid. Learning to make decisions for myself and to stand on my own feet. Making mistakes and learning from them. Second year was just one big blur! A blur of work. My internship was interesting as I observed what the real world is like. The working environment is quite tough and you need to have a thick skin and stand up for yourself.
I am currently doing by BTech (And working at CPUT in the PR department until I finish my BTech) and I must say, its going by so quickly. Next thing you know I will have to work, FOREVER! No campus holidays!
The uncertainty about my next job is scary but exciting at the same time. My wish is that everyone finds a job that they LOVE and that they passionate about.
Congratulations to my fellow classmates who graduated. It has definitely been a ride.
